Clear snow and ice from your sidewalk by 10 am

All Vancouver property owners and occupants (tenants) are responsible for clearing snow and ice from the full width of sidewalks that surround their property by 10 am on the morning following a snowfall, seven days a week. Property owners and occupants who fail to remove snow and ice may be fined. Please make arrangements for someone to clear your sidewalk of snow and ice if you are away or are unable to clear it yourself.

Chinese New Year

The BIA will be celebrating the Year of the Dragon on Friday, January 27th,2012 on Hastings Street.

Chinese New Year Celebrations are a means of renewing one’s luck and energy for the year. Chinese Lions are used to ward away all evil and to represent a purging of all things considered ominous. The Year of the Dragon is expected to be a year of prominence, success, leadership and good luck.
